What would be a good option for a 27-32" monitor? I need to get 3 such monitors [most likely 32" size] for work from home (apartment). I am open to various ideas. Should I get a larger desk or 2 smaller desks & put them together? I want to spend under $200 for the desks.

I thought the powered standing desks cost several hundred more. I saw one by autonomous for $499. I have seen the Insignia one go on sale for $200. Also, I looked up the weight of 32" monitors. It seems a 100 pounds capacity desk would be sufficient to hold 3 monitors. Ideally, I would like to have all 3 vertical using monitor arms. I don't want to get cheap junk but also, don't want to break the bank. Do you have any suggestions?

I'll disagree with the other poster though about the depth of the desk. If you're hosting three monitors but not really writing on paper, 24" is plenty deep. It's enough for keyboard, mouse, and the screens on a mounting arm, while not forcing you to sit too far from the images. (If you're writing on paper, you need additional depth.)

That's an interesting idea. I currently work on a 29" height desk. So, 29-30" height works for me. No writing on paper. 24" depth should work well.

I actually own this setup - an IKEA desk top with two IKEA ALEX file cabinets. I think it cost around $200 total. The desktop got scratched up pretty quickly and looked horrible within a year. I ended up putting shelf liner paper over it. Personally I would recommend a desk on sale from Target over an IKEA desk.

What should be the weight capacity I should looking for to mount 3 monitors vertically? My initial thought is 100 pounds would be enough.
Thinking out loud, I could get two of those $60.50 desks listed above & place them one in front of the other, to create a 30" depth. The question though is if that 1 desk can hold 3 32" vertically mounted monitors.

I also looked up on reddit. One of the suggestions was to get a dining table. lol.
Another option was to go with some thing from Ikea's Bekant/ Galant series.

So maybe go for the ALEX cabinets; factor in the tabletop thickness and you'll be near your ideal height. There are these little nub things, forgot the name, that you can use between the tabletop and the cabinet tops to raise it another inch or so. Or just get a pack of hockey pucks, probably cheaper and more durable.

The tresanti has glass top, so you cannot use any monitor arm (maybe you can, but definitely not 3 32 inch monitors).

I have one (old version) but should be of similar size, hold two 27 monitors while one is vertical.
